TDLR Project Registration

A building or facility being constructed, renovated, or modified with an estimated construction cost of $50,000 is required to be registered with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation through the Texas Architectural Barriers Online System (TABS). Municipalities will require the state assigned TABS number assigned after registration. Project registration can be done by the client, or Acceso can do this for you.

You’ll need to follow these steps if you prefer to register the project:
1. Complete the Project Registration Form: Make sure to provide all the required information, including the Registered Accessibility Specialist (RAS) details, project information, and estimated construction costs.
2. Submit the form and pay the state project filing fee of $175. This fee is separate from Acceso’s plan review fees.
3. Once registered, you must submit your project for plan review and inspection to verify compliance with the Texas Accessibility Standards.

You’ll need to follow this step if you prefer us to register your project:
1. Email us a completed Project Registration Form after you pay the state filing fee, our plan review fee and convenience fee, per our Fee Schedule. We will notify you of the assigned TABS number once the payment is processed and the project is registered on your behalf.
